Our Mission is to recruit volunteers from the Church who will adopt a care facility in their community, to train volunteers to help meet the spiritual needs of care facility residents by respectfully sharing God’s love and Word and to support the efforts of Christians and ministries committed to the spiritual development of people living in care facilities.

"When I go in an Assisted Living facility I find the staff happy to see me and who I visit are “Grumpy Old Men”, who are anxious to tell me how they would like to be home, driving, etc. By the end of the visit they are happy and talkative. It is a ministry that makes me feel content and happy to do it. I also have noticed that I visit much more frequently than the families. The grumpy old men feel worthy and thankful to have visitors. It can be a blast. It is a blessing."

Our Services

Chaplain Service of Connecticut, Inc. serves as a bridge between your church and a local care facility until your outreach is established. We offer:

  • A DVD training series.
  • A nursing home ministry book.
  • Phone support for information and prayer.
  • On-site workshops.
  • Help in identifying a care facility that is seeking Christian ministry for its residents.
  • Help for clearly communicating to your church the opportunity to serve our Lord Jesus in this local mission field.
  • Opportunities to observe successful nearby care programs.
  • Nursing Homes

Regulatory agencies require nursing homes to provide religious activities for their residents. But some homes admit it is difficult to find churches willing to provide spiritual care on a regular basis. CSC is one of 20 similar organizations in our nation, working to remedy this unfortunate situation by developing reliable spiritual care teams for nursing homes needing such help.

“Therefore, we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.” 2 Corinthians 4:16 (NIV)

The elderly can be renewed day by day through a meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ. Let us help you share this great news with them.

The only fee for training is $50 for course materials.
